Location was great.

The service at check in on our arrival day was poor. No smiles, and aggressive tone. We are both very gentle and didn't ask for anything particular but we spoken to very abruptly and without a smile or politeness. But we also could see the person was alone and it was very busy. Perhaps more staff is needed during check in hours.| On check out day the staff was very polite and professional. So we were much happier on check out. The air conditioning did nothing to help the heat in the room. We had to open the windows to get it cooler. No matter the temperature we used on the thermostat it didn't change. We had asked for a double bed on booking, and got 2 single. We asked the first receptionist who responded very poorly and seemed annoyed we even asked for this change.

“Girls Camino Trip”
The best

We have just stayed at this hotel for one night to start the Camino walk. We were very impressed with the gentleman on reception throughout our stay. He was so helpful and answered any of our questions confidently and knowledgeably. The rooms were really nice, clean and with good powerful showers. The breakfast was goo too with plenty of choice. The only downside to our stay was the noise during the night outside on the street, if you have a room on that side of the hotel. Otherwise, a lovely hotel. Thank you.

“Pleasant stay, very good location, but expected more from a 4-star hotel”
The best

Very good location for visiting Vigo, short walk from train station and to city centre. Rreasonably spacious room, good bed, roof terrace with a small pool was nice for cool off during the day or an evening drink. Decent breakfast selection.

To be improved

I must admit I was expecting a higher standard from a 4-star Silken hotel. The soundproofing to the corridor could be improved, we could easily hear other guests entering their rooms late at night. The partition wall separating the room from the bathroom was fully glazed, which was unexpected and meant the curtains to the outside window had to be closed when using WCs/shower to avoid neighbours seeing right into the bathroom. The shower cubicle within the bathroom felt cramped. Finally, the breakfast room has no windows and could do with a revamp.

The best

Very spacious and comfortable room. The beds were comfy, and everything was very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was good, but you should go early to make sure you get everything.

To be improved

The swimming pool was more of a tank than an actual pool, but the view was nice.
