“Such a beautiful seaside resort”

The continental breakfast was fantastic and so many options - fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, yogurts , etc. We had a seaside view that could not have been more beautiful. There is no air conditioning in the region hotels, but the staff delivered a large fan to our room to circulate the air. Staff at the hotel was so helpful and pleasant.

NOISE ISSUES AND POOR RESPONSE The walls in this hotel are incredibly thin. We could clearly hear the TV in the room next to us blaring all evening, which made it nearly impossible to relax, let alone fall asleep. We finally went down to reception at 12:30am to ask for assistance. They assured us it would be dealt with—but nothing changed. The TV NEVER went off. We ended up lying awake for hours. We mentioned it again in the morning, but the response was equally dismissive. We told “the manager doesn’t work on Sundays.” MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS As if the noise wasn’t bad enough, the shower in our room was literally hanging off the wall. It made using it not only unpleasant but borderline unsafe. The phone is the room also didn’t work. For a hotel that markets itself as a premium experience, this level of basic maintenance neglect is unacceptable. NO FOLLOW-UP We reported both the noise issue and the broken shower again at checkout. The staff promised someone would get in touch with us via phone or email to follow up. It’s now been several weeks and—unsurprisingly—there has been no communication at all.

“Short Motorcycle Trip Spain Sept 2025”

The best

150 mile ride to Ribadesella, got there just before the rain. Bike in the Garage (unusually), at 15E. Looked for a late Check out, as BF putting the Ferry back later means hours waiting near the Port. No doubt in the rain. Been here several times. Hotel Good, first floor room. Food looks the same and Cafeteria best choice if not walking over the bridge to the Old Town. Beach is lovely in the sunshine, Breakfast excellent. Later Check out as requested. Terrible weather when I left, awful ride to Santander. But it's supposed to be an Adventure!!

Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach, beautiful pool, beautiful facilities.

Elevator was slow and clunky, particularly a problem with luggage. Parking onsite was difficult -- access card never worked, so we had to call the front desk every entrance/exit. Our suite was spacious with a great view but was somewhat overpriced. Not a great bathroom or second bed.

The location was amazing and staff super friendly. We loved the bar, which also served great lunches.

To be improved

Lack of air conditioning meant we needed to keep windows and doors open and there is quite a lot of early morning noise (ie beach cleaning truck).
