“Absolutely terrible hotel. Avoid this place.”

The room smelled terrible and the staff didn’t care. Surly and unhelpful at breakfast. They promised gluten free options for a celiac person and had nearly nothing. I can’t overstate how terrible this hotel is.

The room was a little outdated. Breakfast was good but the restaurant was incredibly dark. More lighting on a wet day would have been good.

“Disappointing: 4-star hotel that felt like 2-star!”

The staff was very nice. Other than that… Not much… it is a 4-star hotel after all, so the rooms were ok and some of the shared spaces were nice.

To be improved

Massive queues for breakfast: not enough coffee machines and all food running out all the time. Rooms were old, the heating did not work properly. Not even water in the fridge. We had to be 1h waiting for the shuttle to pick us up from the slopes. In general all facilities are quite old and run down. The team was nice but seemed understaffed

The best

Next door restaurant (and part of the same building) Roto is really great! Delicious food (especially the sushi) great vibe, dj in the afternoon, cozy breakfasts, super friendly staff. Sno hotel Formigal however was very dissapointing and definitely no 4 stars worth.

To be improved

Everything is really old. Swimming pool was closed. Very basic Xmas diner with just rice and noodles. No atmosphere or decoration. Like you go on summer camp. Just a wooden canteen.
