We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. It’s incredibly spacious and immaculately maintained. The location is beautiful and peaceful, perfect if you're looking for a serene getaway. While it’s a bit remote and you definitely need a car, that’s part of what makes it so special. You get privacy, tranquility, and stunning surroundings in return. What really stood out were the landlords—they're genuinely some of the nicest people we've ever met. Extremely responsive, thoughtful, and always willing to go the extra mile to help with anything we needed. That kind of hospitality is rare and made our stay even more enjoyable. We can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you're staying short-term or long-term, this apartment is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

So modern and clean

The property is excellent. It looks brand new! The area is very peaceful and quiet. Close to many other villages and the beach. The main floor has a living room-kitchen common area, and a laundry room. Our room upstairs was very comfortable, spacious, clean, new and modern. Our kitchen was nicely equipped. We had a small welcoming basket with homemade bread, oranges, coffee and milk. We had WiFi, tv and free parking. Though the elevator wasn’t working yet, we didn’t mind using the new wooden stairs. Our host was very friendly, thoughtful and welcoming. He helped us with a map and information about the area. We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay an extra night!

I can't say enough good things about our stay at Sobaika. We only wished it could have been longer. The studio and the house are beautiful, freshly done in a style that reminded me of a chalet, with stunning mountain views. The location is just on the edge of the village of Ibarrangelu, quiet and close to the sea, and not far from Laga beach. We really appreciated the lovely new bathroom with rain shower, well equipped kitchen area with Moka pot for coffee, spacious room and comfy, firm mattress. There is also a common room with a kitchen and terrace on the ground floor. We had to do some work during our stay, so we also appreciated the excellent Wifi. Imanol, the owner, was so kind and thoughtful from before we even got there. We arrived late in the evening to a welcome gift of tea, oranges and delicious cake! He also guessed that we would be going to the Europa League final in Bilbao and made sure to get us details for a taxi, without which we would not have been stuck in the city after the match. He was always ready with recommendations for a restaurant, a hike, a bus timetable... anything we could ask. His genuine care and helpfulness really made a difference to us.

The property has been done to a high standard; everything was like brand new.
