Sol y Mar Apartments

Our apartment didn't have very good sound proofing. There was a lot of noise at night, guests stomping up and down the stairs, slamming doors etc till 4 or 5 am. The T.V. didn't work so we reported this to reception. A maintenance man came out but couldn't fix it. We had to ask for clean towels after 4 days as no one comes in to empty waste bins, change towels etc.

The apartment was dirty. The dishes were not washed and smelled terribly. They also provide you no means of cleaning the dishes/kitchen.

I'll equipped kitchen. Very dirty lift. Lack of umbrellas round pool. Beach was very small and smelly

The room wasn't great. The toilet didn't flush and water was constantly flowing in the toilet which kept us up. There was a pipe sticking out the floor (probably for a bidet) it had a bag round it to try and stop the smell. There was no shower curtain and the shower itself just came out cold. The living room was the only room that had air conditioning. So the bedroom was very hot. Our flight got cancelled so we ended up staying one night. If we got there when we were supposed to, we would have made some complaints and could have resolved some of these issues. The communication wasn't great either. I messaged the host twice informing our situation that the flight was cancelled and not being able to get a flight until the second to last day. But had no response. So when we eventually got there the room wasn't even ready. Which is their fault for not checking our messages. I paid for 3 nights but only stayed the one so if the room wasn't even ready for us in our minds we shouldn't have paid for the other 2 nights. Will start a complaint process to try and get the money back.

No hot water in kitchen or bathroom sink!!! Shower room was good
