“Great villa for a large family or split booking.”
The best

Really lovely villa, well located for the beautiful coves nearby, great supermarket, close to airport and Mahón and El Castell. Bedrooms were comfy and 4 out of 6 have air conditioning which was really helpful too. Lovely grounds and nicely segregated areas so everyone could find a bit of peace and privacy if desired. Good barbecue. Great utility room for laundry. Lots of bathrooms so everyone gets a bit of private space.

To be improved

You do hear the aeroplanes being so close to the airport so if this bothers you then you’d need to consider this before booking. The exit from the driveway could really do with a mirror as it’s quite a blind turning and cars drive fast outside it. The pool filters are on a timer apparently and for us it really meant it could not keep up with the amount of dead flies accumulating in the pool. The owner did buy a pool skimmer for us to use but it was pretty hard to stay on top of and made the pool quite unappealing at times. Kitchen is definitely basic so as enthusiastic cooks we found it a little lacking in a few things and in serving dishes. For the number of guests it would also be great to have a second fridge in the utility room. Some of the bathroom showers were not working brilliantly and would not stay up. We managed to fix a couple while there.

“Wonderful villa with great hosts”
The best

We have come back from the wonderful villa Son set. The villa was set in beautiful grounds, with so much wildlife, and a perfect pool. The villa had everything we needed for a family - with a young baby and toddler. We had a lovely stay, fully relaxed and we were sad to leave. Both Manuel and his daughter Irene were the best hosts I have ever encountered on a booking.com stay. We had cots and beds arranged for us on arrival. We had fresh fruit, coffee pods, and biscuits and bathroom toiletries on arrival which was a lovely extra touch. They kindly helped us with food shopping with a supermarket close by, drop off at the airport and made sure that they were on hand for any help on whatsapp. We had a tour of the villa on arrival to explain how everything worked and got us settled. Huge pluses for families staying... The beds are so comfortable, cots available, outside furniture very comfortable with shade area for kids, TV with kids channels for time out the sun with kids a bonus, air con in the bedrooms and downstairs lounge very useful in hot sunny july, the pool is protected with a gate and very safe for toddlers and younger kids, the kitchen is very well equiped best iv seen on a booking.com stay. We look forward to returning next year :)
