The best

The villa is certainly spacious with fabulous views down to Santa Cruz and it is very pleasant to sit and read or simply enjoy the ambience from the upper outside terrace looking towards the garden and view. It is very peaceful with bird song a joy. The farmhouse style kitchen is huge and well equipped, the dishwasher efficient, the laundry washing machine and tumble dryer also efficient and all easy to use. The downstairs double bedrooms are large and comfortable, one with cot, both with own bathroom, one smaller than the other, both with shower. Upstairs the twin-bedded room is smaller and darker than the upstairs double bedroom and both share a very good bathroom with bath as well as separate shower. The lounge and dining room are lovely, tastefully furnished and comfortable, and the indoor loggia looking out to Santa Cruz is a lovely feature. The welcoming flowers in the entrance hall and the food pack in the kitchen provided a nice touch. Parking was fine.

To be improved

But there was a dampness and mustiness about the place and there are several maintenance, repair and cleanliness issues which we have drawn to the attention of the owners although overall we enjoyed our week here exploring the island. We should say that when we contacted the local maintenance contact the response was quick and the owners are also very responsive.

To be improved

The swimming pool had green algae in it when we arrived. The owner arranged immediately for it to be fixed and we were able to enjoy a nice swim after a few days
