“Great view, little else.”

The apartment was very clean, the view is exceptional, and Valerie (who received us) was very kind and willing to help make us comfortable. However, the hostesses do not provide you with any information about the area. We got some restaurant recommendations via WhatsApp on the second day, but there is nothing in the apartment, not even a local guide or book to give you ideas about what to see or do. For the apartment itself, we did not even know where to dispose of the trash. The place was spotless, good-looking, and seemed somehow new and barely lived in, which unfortunately means nothing is properly thought out for guests.... They accommodated my request not to use heavily perfumed softener on the sheets and towels, but it seemed like a very odd request to them, and, at one point, they told me there was going to be an extra charge for this (there was not). The main bed was very comfortable. Upon arrival, we found plenty of coffee pods and a bottle of water.

The place has great potential, and it may be super in the summer, but for us, it did not live up to the expectations: -The bed does not have a top/flat sheet (we know this is common in Europe, but we don't feel is right for an Airbnb) -There are no proper mugs: the tea/coffee cups are either too small or without handles, which means burning your hands. -The pans in the kitchen are cheap, and cooking anything proves difficult because they stick. -There are no throw blankets for the sofa, and the extra duvet for the big bed did not have a cover. -The pillows are either feather (I have allergies) or too thin. -There are no umbrellas, and Valerie was very surprised when we requested them after 2 days of rain (we got them right away). -There are no bed mats to step out of the bed, and the tile floor is freezing cold! -No shower mat either, but Valerie brought us one on the second day. -No dishwasher (we knew this), but they left us only 1 kitchen towel for 6 days! We got 2 more on the second day. -No extra towels for a 6-night stay. -The placemats for dining are made out of rattan and natural fibers. Although nice, they don't feel hygienic as they cannot be washed. -The washing machine does not properly spin, so clothes were left wet and they took 3 days to dry. -The apartment is extremely humid and cold. We were there in mid-April, not wintertime, and had to have the heater on all the time to be comfortable. There is no heater in the bathroom, and the space will stay humid/wet until the next day. -Lastly, to us, the location was way too remote and removed from everything. It is a long, winding drive down the hills to go anywhere.

The view was amazing. The apartment clean and well maintained. Very nicely decorated. Comfy bed, nice bathroom. All you need. Parking in front on the door (off season).

To be improved

We liked it all. Small suggestion for people who stay longer and like to cook at home, some more standard herbs and spices, olive oil and vinaigrette. Not a necessity but much appreciated if it was at hand.
