Stay U-nique Apartments Balmes

First of all, the pictures shown on the website do not reflect the reality. Most of the furniture is old, worn, and uncomfortable. The beds are uncomfortable; even the bed in the master bedroom is a kind of mattress; it squeaks when you turn over during the night. Similarly, the bathroom door squeaks constantly. The kitchen is lacking very basic utensils. For example, if you want to boil eggs for breakfast, you can't, or if you want to make quick pasta, you can't because there's no pot to boil it. :) If you crack an egg in the pan, there's no spatula to remove it. :) I think the main purpose of renting a place like this is to be able to make these small meals yourself. It might be due to the old furniture, but during our stay, we never felt like we were staying in a clean place. We arrived from Madrid by train around 10:00. We asked if we could check in a few hours earlier, but they said they wouldn't help because the agents don't start work before 3:00, so we had to store our belongings in a designated safe for 5 hours for 30 euros. In conclusion, apart from the location, the price-performance ratio is very poor. It was a disappointment after the nice stay in Madrid.

Some minor issues that can be fixed easily- broken front door handle or slow draining of water in the kitchen sink.
