We didn't use the little courtyard as pigeons made it unpleasant. It was not a big deal as we were away for most of the time.

“Great apartment when not leaking and no roadworks”

We stayed in the penthouse apartment with roof terrace for 4 weeks feb-March. Unfortunately Malaga had a lot of rain for most of our stay and consequently we had a massive leak in the second bathroom so we could not use it for the last week or so as the ceiling was completely mouldy and about to fall in. We also had another leak in the apartment hallway which I mopped up daily. This could have been avoided if the gutters had been looked after properly and the foliage removed from them. The apartment is really nice but the leaks spoilt out holiday. The owner visited us but there was nothing they could do until we had vacated. Another apartment was not offered or any sort of compensation. The state of the roads outside was ridiculous. I agree with another review that they should not have rented out the apartments whilst this mess and noise is ongoing. It definitely would not be allowed in the UK due to the safety aspect. Having to manoeuvre our way round diggers and generators was not something we had looked forward to. The noise was awful some days as they were right under our windows so we had to keep them shut. The noise could be heard from the roof terrace too. All such a shame because it’s a great house and nicely renovated and excellent location for Plaza de La Merced. We love Malaga and will be back again next year for sure but maybe not this apartment unless it’s been totally repaired and the roads have been fixed. The road itself is also a bit derelict but hopefully they will renovate some time soon. The communications we had with the agent were pretty good but I felt that they weren’t that sympathetic. The roof terrace is up a further stairway within the apartment. It’s nice up there when the sun shines. I can see there’s a bit of an issue with the pigeons but it wasn’t a deal breaker. It’s nice to hang the washing up there to dry when it’s sunny!

There are major road works in all surrounding streets so noisy and dirty .Also work carried out in apartment block and workers equipment was kept in the hallway .Despite requesting another apartment they said that they couldn’t find one so we had to find one ourselves .Poor view from window

Wouldn’t recommend for a stay longer than 2 nights. We’d booked for a month. Moved to a different flat without asking us & reason given, they didn’t want the major road works to disturb us. Chose 1st flat because I’d just had a hip replacement & it had a big walk-in shower. New one wasn’t just tiny but shower head bracket hanging off the wall. When we contacted owners, reply was “can’t you just hold it!” Eventually sent someone, who screwed it back on, but water direction now only straight across. Husband’s 5,11 & he couldn’t get wet! Eventually agreed to mew head. Area outside was disgusting, inches deep in pigeon faeces & the noise was loud & relentless. After 2 weeks i had to contact them for clean bedding/towels & they argued they couldn’t reach me by phone, but didn’t bother to knock on the door or leave a note. ‘Kitchen’ not suitable for stays longer than a weekend. Biggest complaint, all three roads surrounding the apartment completely dug up with no vehicle access. Again, no notification & we had 6 cases! On leaving asked for help and was refused. No customer care here, just money making!
