“I liked the location; not too far from the beaches, carrefour and restaurants and attractions, in other words in the center of it · Cons: The reception staff. Worthless and careless. - Worthless: when you have an issue, that could relate to a stolen car or towed car, the staff doesn't really care. You ask for help, they give you numbers of towing companies that doesn't work, then they give you a number of the police, that still doesn't work, and they will raise their shoulders showing that they can't help you more. Note; AC hotel (right next door) did find me the solution and even called a taxi and did a follow-up with me afterward to make sure everything was alright. I wants even one of their guest! 0/10 - careless: they charged me a certain amount, then called me back to say that they made a mistake, they charged 10€ less and they wanted me to pay immediately. 0/10 - facilities: I've never seen a room where the sink was so close to the toilet. I could literally sit, do my duty and was my hands at the same time. Never seen such a tight wasroom in my life. 1/10 - breakfast: selection was alrite. However, the milk was at room temperature and so was all the juices. Fruit flies on the sweets. I had to stick to boiled eggs.”

Breakfast is good, hotel has private car parking area. Car parking has an elevator to room flats.

The curtains in the room were torn and burnt! The hotel is like an old 4 star hotel. The new owner wants it to be a 3 star. He hasn't spent any money on the hotel. Equipments are old.

“A good hotel in Algeciras”
The best

The room was clean and bright, lots of light in the room, bathtub in bathroom. There was a kettle in my room and some tea and coffee. Everything looks quite good and the furniture is not very "tired", just fine. The staff was really friendly. The AC worked OK but it was not this personal AC you would normally have in hotels, some sort of a more sophisticated / centralised solution with wall mounted remote control, which worked not really straightforward way you normally expect. The location is OK but is far from all major connection points (bus station and port were both 30-35 min by foot). There was a parking as I heard but I hadn't car so could not really use it.

To be improved

There is no option to have lunch / dinner on site in a hotel decorations if I can say so. You can order food in a room (which is OK and prices are also OK), but if you want to eat something not in your room, you have to go to the mini casino (yep, there is a mini casino inside the hotel) and ask there. I would say it is a bit uncomfortable option for a lunch, especially if you have kids or do not enjoy gambling in general. But if you put this fact aside, the pizza I ate was just fine.

“Wow what a great place for the price”

Air conditioned room, comfy bed, very helpful staff, underground parking for a reasonable price, 6 € taxi fare to the ferry
