“Nice little hotel”
The best

On arrival, we were given one of the more expensive rooms for the same price as it was the only one available. Lovely double aspect room with two balconies and a large comfy bed. I can only comment on breakfast as we didn't eat. Not really much to say about that, other than pretty basic continental style, with lots of Cake! Peniscola is well worth a visit. Although we only stayed for one night as we were touring Spain, it was well worth it. The beach is beautiful, soft sand and very shallow. Ideal for small children and adults alike. We visited mid June and was a little disappointed how early the bars closed. We did manage to get a late drink in an Italian bar a few blocks from the hotel, and I imagine the nightlife carried on a little later down by the Castle, but we made the mistake of making our way back closer to the hotel for last orders! The castle looks beautiful at night, and the fish restaurants below are well worth a visit. You can get a platter of fresh fish and shellfish including lobster for around 50euro enough for two, which comes with a bottle of wine and bread. We usually go for an apartment as hotel food is a bit hit and miss in Spain, but eating out for two people is not expensive and there are plenty of restaurants to chose from. I would gladly stay here again. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful, although speak very little English. In fact if you are looking for English bars, I'm not sure that you'll find one here in Peniscola, but in fairness, we only stayed one night, so there might have been one hidden away somewhere!

“Nice place”
The best

We stayed for 2 nights and it included breakfast, it was very close to the very nice beach. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was as usual in Spain, bread coffee juice ham cheese and the sweet tooth want be disappointed. It is well worth the price. If you want to go to the old town in Peñiscola it takes about 30 minutes to walk.
