“Fab, secluded chalet!”
Fabulous, secluded place to stay! Perfect for us, just what we were looking for. Lovely views, away from the touristy parts but close enough to visit by car. Ideal location for exploring the island. Lovely, big, friendly, guard dog - Kila, kept us company all week! Only saw people at the main house a couple of times during the week, had the pool to ourselves most days during the week. The others used it on the weekend and some evenings.
Some of the floor tiles and decking are damaged, but as long as you have something on your feet, it's not an issue. Your own transport is essential, the roads are a little precarious to get there so going out at night wasn't an option for us, as we weren't confident driving in the dark on those roads, there's no street lights, which is perfect for star gazing.
“Remote location with its pros and cons.”
It was very cozy and had an amazing view. Should the weather be better, we could enjoy it more.
The location is really remote, and as it is in a wind channel, really windy. To be able to go to have a dinner, we had to drive 30 minutes.... Narrow roads, the wind blowing dust. It is adventurous for the first time, but it is something to consider. One more thing, but it's probably not a problem for early birds (we are night owls) : there's a huge roof window above the bed. It is strange, because you can't sleep longer than 7:30-8:00AM. On the positive side, you can see the stars at night.
“Superb”
Friendly owners. A remote place for privacy. Hidden from prying eyes
“Exceptional”
“Overall nice place, I liked it and will rent this again.”
Very good view from the terrace Nice and quiet environment.
The hole place is a bit worn down, the wooden floor inside is a bit broken/uneven and some planks on the terrace are dangerous. I got stuck with my toe in one.. The bathroom smells a bit moist and the floor is bad. The towels where not changed and the chalet was not cleaned during our whole 8 day stay. The heater/AC did hardly work and the temperature inside the chalet was the same as outside. 15degC in the morning, 25+ rest of the day.
