Sunny Seas Hideaway Apartment

Should be described as a studio apartment rather than 1 bedroom. Some noise from neighbours as walls are thin. Parking was not easy as spaces on the street filled quickly.

The apartment had many issues: plugging in the kettle would trip the power, and there was a consistant strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which is located right next to the bed. There was no hot water in the shower for the first two days, There’s no shower curtain, so water gets all over the floor and bathroom. The apartment has 0 sound insulation — you can hear loud neighbors, heavy cough, TV, footsteps in the stairwell, the elevator, and even people flushing toilets. When the windows are open, the front door slams loudly from the draft, traffic noise comes in, and cigarette smoke drifts in from neighboring apartments. When the windows are closed, it gets quite stuffy. Even the wall clock doesn't work. This is budget accommodation and should cost no more than half the listed price.

Noise-from occupants of the other apartments in the block, the street, the planes which I knew to expect, but not the at volume experienced. Lack of hot water, it took ages to run warm- such a waste of a valuable resource on this island. This is a relatively new, no frills apartment furnished to a basic level of quality throughout.
