There are different apartments listed so be careful when booking. We intended to stay for a month and had to leave after 2 days due to an emergency, was happy to pay for a week but landlord wanted atleast 2, the apartment itself had no windows and you could hear absolutely everything next door from the toilet flushing to the sink on. I think emergency aside I could no way stay here, it felt a bit like a prison.

The apartment is nice and in a good location, the only real problem is the attitude of the host.

I don't normally write reviews but I had a bad experience and I think it may be useful to others. We arrived at the apartment at 5am and although we noticed a smell we didn't pay much attention as we were really tired. As soon as we went to bed the smell was strong coming from the pillows and mattress, we slept without pillows and with towels. We contacted the owner for a solution but she only told us to turn the mattress over and that she would only be able to do something (replace the topper) after "a few days". We spent the first day washing everything, including the pillows, we removed the topper and wrapped the mattress in cling film to contain the smell (see photo). Even though the rest of the house wasn't particularly clean, we wouldn't have complained if it weren't for the smell in the bed. We don't know what caused it, but it was impossible to miss. The host was not helpful at all, not only did she not do anything but she also withheld €130 of the €200 cash deposit, because she said that we "damaged" the topper that she had promised to replace after our complaint. For us it wasn't a question of money, we lost a day of vacation and we were really disappointed because there was no collaboration from Gabriela. We want our deposit back!

Apartament in the heart of the city. Parking on the street its free, but you must looking for free space ))) We find all the time but,takes time sometimes )) Clean, contact with owner ok. Do not forget to take 200 EUR cash as deposit. Deposit returning only to your bank account no cash return. I recived deposit 2 days affter on my EUR account.

Good central location, close to the public transport, cafes, shops. Comfortable bed. A quick return of the deposit. Generally, all great!

To be improved

Would be nice to have a kettle for boiling water for tea lovers ;) The neighbours (probably those living regularly in the building) were a bit loud at some nights but it might just have been the party season... ;)

The best

I was very happy with that accommodation. The apartment was equipped with all the necessary things even for a long stay. I had a feeling that they had thought through every detail to make their guests comfortable, and that was very pleasant. The location was another advantage. The apartment is in the old part of Central Alicante within a short distance from the most popular places, cafes, shops, and the beach. I enjoyed walking down the narrow streets of that authentic neighborhood gazing at the charming old buildings and watching local people sipping coffee and chatting with their friends outside cafes. My special thanks to Carlos, who was a great support and an invaluable source of information. It was my first trip to Spain, whose language I don't speak, and without Carlos my stay in Alicante would have been a great challenge.

The apartment I was staying in had the so-called interior windows, which means that they don't face the street but overlook the inner courtyard. I can't say I didn't like it. It was quite a new and interesting experience. I could see how many Spanish people lived and still live.
