The BlueBird

There was a cockroach when we arrived, but this is more of an island issue because there are many cockroaches on the streets. Otherwise the apartment was clean. We were 4 people in the apartment (2 in the bedroom and 2 on the sofa bed), the bed is great, but the sofa bed is quite old and you can feel 2 massive strings, so you need to fit to sleep around them.

Shower facilities need looking at very hard to not soak the whole room , few ants from the taps in the bathroom , cushions on the balcony furniture

Property needs upgrading especially the bathroom- very dated, handheld shower.

There were lots of small bugs living in the bathroom and the kitchen. They even made their way into the kettle which I unfortunately didn't realise until the last day. The apartment has a self locking balcony door. This information should be written on the welcome pack or given during check in. I have never stayed somewhere where if you close the door behind you you can't get back inside. To me this is a major fire hazard and not at all safe. Luckily when we got trapped on the balcony we had our phones with us. The owner was in the North of the island and it took 2 hours for us to get off the balcony as they only have one set of keys. We were fine but I do want to make a point about this in the review as I don't think it's safe at all (e.g if someone has a medical issue, or if there was a fire).
