“Very comfortable apartment in interesting hillside Bilbao suburb”

The best

The Chess House is a one-bedroom fully self-contained apartment on the ground floor of a large apartment block in a Bilbao suburb about 1km from the historic old town and about 1.5km from the new town and the Guggenheim Museum. The area immediately around the apartment is quite hilly but a network of lifts and escalators, as well as the No. 28 Bilbobus stop nearby, improves access to those areas by the river. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable and very well set up for self-catering. Josu, the apartment owner, takes great pride in his apartment, is an excellent communicator and was very attentive to our needs. He met us on arrival and showed us around and organised a taxi to the airport when we left.

To be improved

It is a hilly area and somewhat away from the main tourist attractions of the city. The apartment is close to street level and there is inevitably some traffic noise.

The perfect apartment. Tastefully furnished. Just minutes from downtown. Josu is an attentive host. He thinks of everything. We loved living there.
