The Desmais

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here in late July. The apartment was very clean and comfortable for our family of three and the management company provided excellent communication in the lead up to and throughout our stay. The whole development is very well maintained and the pool is secluded away from the street. We spent a lot of time there during the day while our daughter swam and we never had any difficulty finding space on the ample seating or sun beds. Evenings were spent on the balcony which is east-facing and therefore doused in morning sun while offering some welcome shade in the afternoon. There are a couple of fairly expensive supermarkets about 5 minutes walk away although we stocked up at Lidl in Ciutadella on our second day where you could buy wine for less than the price of a bottle of water in the resort. There are also several very good restaurants just down the road, especially if you like seafood. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and the cove is nestled beautifully between the cliffs. It gets crowded on a sunny day but we were still able to find a spot and the beach is quite shallow so wherever you are you're close to the water. It's a really nice place to spend a week or two and you don't really have to leave the resort as it has everything you need within walking distance.

The location is perfect – it’s quiet, with no noise at all, which is great for a truly relaxing stay. The mattress on the bed is extremely comfortable, and the Wi-Fi is excellent. Collecting the keys was very straightforward. We were without hot water for half a day, but I contacted the property via WhatsApp and received a very prompt response – the issue was resolved in no time. Someone came once during our stay to change the towels and make the bed. The air conditioning works very well. For us, the kitchen was adequately equipped, although mugs would have been appreciated. There is a Dolce Gusto coffee machine, so bring that type of pod if you would like to make coffee. The water pressure in the bathroom is also very good. In addition, there is an excellent restaurant just 50 metres away, as well as a pharmacy and a souvenir/beach items shop right next door! We had an excellent stay overall, although it could have been even better if the issues mentioned below had been addressed.

Wonderful location. Very quiet with great views. Only 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach, supermarkets, restaurants and the coastal footpath. Big, comfortable bed and spacious apartment. The communication from the owners was great.
