The apartment was quite nice, two TVs but we couldn’t use them at all, as the host didn’t take the time to teach us how to use the devices and help us connect “Apple TV” which we brought from Iceland. He announced his arrival to us twice but didn’t show up, until we had gone out and then went the apartment without us being home, which we found rather inappropriate and he did something but it didn’t helot us. We were without TV for this three weeks we stayed there. Not good service.

To be improved

Another thing that could be better. Have two sets of bed sheets and more bath towels when people stay as long as we did. Also have a dish brush to wash the dishes, and provide trash bags. Our experience was that you prefer to rent to people who only stay a few days at a time, not long-term rentals. We have been coming to Gran Canary for about 15 years and have stayed at Playa de Ingles many times and unfortunately our experience this year was not good. Soffìa and Ólafur Iceland.

“Worth it!”

The best

The apartment was exactly as seen in the pictures. The terrace was very spacious and very comfortable. I liked the location very much (2min to the beach), the facilities, the pool, the decoration, the washing machine, the air conditioning, etc. They even provide us with towels for the beach! They let us check out late without extra cost; thanks, Isaias! The communication with the personnel was exceptional; you could contact them anytime via WhatsApp, and they answered very quickly. They provided us with tips and helpful information.

The cutlery was not clean enough.

“Great apartment, great owner, bad location for family vacation”

The best

The apartment itself and the host were perfect. Everything inside the apartment was as advertised, the owner was very helpful. Even when we broke the sun chair, the owner brought a new one the next day. I am very glad that we had such a pleasant experience with him. Also, the apartment is very new, clean and well equipped, better than we expected. The terrace is also great, although facing the street and there is not much of a view.

What was less good is the location and the hotel complex itself. Unfortunately, and it is also our fault, we didn't expect the location to be that noisy at night. Every single night there was a noise from bars and discos until around 4AM. After that we would often hear noisy people from the street or garbage collectors around 5AM. And then at 7AM, the hotel employees will start watering the grass, which is just below the windows. There is also a Thai restaurant that you pass each time you go to your apartment and you can enjoy the smell from their kitchen almost every evening. At first it is fine, but later we always tried not to breathe. Also, the apartment is located on a hill and if you want to go somewhere, you have to either climb a lot of steps, or go up and down the hill to the beach. I wouldn't mind it if we didn't have a little child, but just wanted to mention it. None of this will be a problem if you want to spend the whole night at bars. And none of this is an issue of the owner or the apartment itself, I just want to share the full picture and set the right expectations.

“The chill out corner”

The apartment was clean, comfortable and modern, the bed was very comfortable with lots of extra linen, pillows and blankets, the shower was fab, lots of hot water, there was everything in the kitchen needed including a kettle, cleaning products, washing powder etc, really well equipped, the terrace was brilliant, it is really private with comfortable seating and deck chairs, the sun comes round to it mid afternoon, a nice touch were the beach towels provided, the swimming pool wasn't the most beautiful but it was spotless clean with showers lots of sun beds umbrellas and its an absolute sun trap. The beach is a 2 min walk to two lifts that will take you down to the beach. There are ample bars and restaurants some of our favourites were down by the tourist train on avienda de Italia try Pedro's la terrazza. Last but not least, Isaias, the owner was a gem he was friendly and helpful and recommended places for us to go that we wouldn't have known about and was just a phone call away if needed.

To be improved

Nothing, it was one of the best places we have ever stayed.
