“The local host was impossible to contact”
The best

The only positive thing to mention is that Your.Rentals, who acted as an intermediary with the local host, provided a full refund afterwards.

To be improved

The local host was impossible to contact on the day of arrival. Numerous phone calls failed as the number was unavailable, email sent never received a response, and Your.Rentals customer support was also unable to contact the host. Visited the location itself twice, once at afternoon and once at evening, and rang doorbell, for no response. Additionally, at the second visit ran to other people who also had rented a room from the same host, and also had failed to contact him. Ultimately gave up and found myself a different place to stay.
