This has to be one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. Let's start with the host, Marisa. Nowhere in the listing did she mention that we’d be staying with her and her dogs. This feels like false advertising. I booked a “private apartment” with a double room, expecting to have the place to myself, especially since I was planning to host a guest. When I arrived and realized I’d be living with her and her dogs, I didn’t even consider inviting anyone over. I politely asked when I first arrived, as her dog was licking my leg, "Is the dog staying here too?" She responded dismissively, "I live here with my dogs. You paid for a single room—what did you expect for such a low price?" This is concerning, especially for guests with allergies or those worried about being bitten. It's essential that guests know clearly in advance that they’ll be sharing the space with the host and her pets. Marisa rushed my check-in, as she was in a hurry to leave for an appointment in Málaga. She didn’t take the time to show me how to use the keys, so I had to figure out how to lock and double-lock the doors on my own after arriving. The next day, I woke up to a nasty note on my door: "Please do not slam the door and double-lock it when you leave." On my final day, the check-out experience was equally unpleasant. Check-out was supposed to be between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. I set my alarm for 11:20 AM, intending to check out by 12:00 PM. However, just before my alarm went off, Marisa was banging on my door, yelling, "Get out! Check-out is now, more guests are coming." I had to rush through my shower and leave quickly. I checked out at 11:40 AM, and she rudely escorted me out, slamming the door behind me. After leaving, I realized I’d left my passport in a secure location in the room. I returned to retrieve it, and she reluctantly allowed me to do so. As I left, I saw her walking her dog toward the city center, so there were no new guests arriving.
