Unfortunately while we were there, there was some building work next door which started early. Can’t be helped, just bad timing.

“Really great location and comfortable stay for a family with a toddler”

We stayed in the apartment (with the big terrace) for a few days in may with our 2.5-year-old child, and the location was absolutely perfect. It’s right in the old town, next to a lovely park and just a few minutes’ walk from a bus stop for line 95, which conveniently goes directly to both the Bioparc and Oceanogràfic. There’s also a bike rental station just a few meters away, a pharmacy right accriss the street and Carefour Express in 100 m. Even though there’s no elevator and it’s effectively on the 6th floor, the stairs weren’t a problem for us, not even for our toddler who managed them several times a day. For a central location, it was surprisingly quiet. The windows isolated outside noise quite well, and we didn’t have any issues with noisy neighbours. The terrace was a highlight. We had every meal out there and spent most of our time outside while the little one napped inside. It’s a wonderful feature of the apartment. Just heads up - the temperature on the terrace was a bit cooler than down at the street level. Here are a few things to note, based on some of the comments I had read before booking: Yes, there’s a slight smell in the bathroom, as is typical in older buildings, but it wasn’t strong or noticeable in the rest of the apartment. The bathroom itself is spacious and comfortable, with a window that can be opened. The dishwasher is a bit rusty inside, but we only used it when we were leaving. Otherwise, we were fine washing a couple of cups and plates by hand. The kitchen is large, well-equipped, and nothing essential was missing like kitchenware. BUT You’ll just need to get your own dish soap, sponge, and kitchen paper. There’s a good hairdryer provided. The complimentary toiletries are in small sachets — practical, though I personally missed having a small bar of hand soap for the bathroom. The air conditioning was powerful. We only used it briefly, but it cooled down the entire room within minutes.

To be improved

It would be great if a dish soap, dish sponge, kithten paper, and a small hand soap bar for the bathroom are included in the welcome kit.
