“Great location & apartment -take earplugs -there is a bar right next door that’s open till 2am.”
Proximity to town. Restaurants shop’s and bars. Nice apartment with all amenities.
Noisy pub right next door so could hear conversation til 2am. Very squeaky mattress - every time you moved or even sat on the bed.
“Perfect position, with some inconvenients.”
The position is perfect. The apartment is conveniently located near both a metro station and the city's main attractions.
The Neighbor. We had a really bad experience with the neighbor, a guy who used to watch TV loudly every night until late. One day, he also decided to start watching a series around 4 in the morning. Fellow digital nomads, u are warned!
“Very good”
A good central location, clean, comfortable and spacious apartment.
A bit on the noisy side - thin walls so you can hear the neighbours moving/:tv sometimes & apartment location on a piaza where locals exercise dogs/ play football so could be quite noisy at times
“Superb”
The location near to the city center is fantastic
“Very good”
Like my home with ancient things
Don't have detergent , oil , coffee pad , salt etc
“Very disappointing, photos deceiving and very noisy at night.”
We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and as no-one met us we didn’t know where the key was. We asked in La Cuina d'Adel, a small restaurant next door, they were very kind and phoned the host. The key box was on a window sill on the other side of the building, which you wouldn’t expect unless you had been there before! The box code on our paperwork didn’t work so another phone call was made. (Apparently they had emailed this to me after we arrived in Valencia but I do not have email access on my phone.) The apartment was clean, but quite dark, not as shown in their photos. It does have three windows, but they are on street level so you need to keep the curtains closed. There was no balcony and no “city views”, only the street outside. There was no dishwasher (not a problem for us), no kettle (we used a pan to boil water to make tea), you need to be tall to reach the plates in the cupboard high up on the wall, and although pretty well equipped with pots and pans etc, there were no basic condiments in the cupboards and no welcome pack, which is always a nice touch. One photo shows a wardrobe but there wasn’t one, there were half a dozen coat hangers on a stand just inside the entrance. The safe box didn’t work, but it wasn’t fixed to anything anyway. There wasn’t enough hot water for two showers, one after the other. Several notices in the apartment stated “Parties are strictly prohibited in the apartment. In case the neighbors notify us of a party, we will go to the police and you will be expelled from the apartment without compensation“ but there was no information of what to do if WE were disturbed by THEM! The amount of noise WE experienced every night from 11pm to 6am was intolerable and had we been in the UK we would’ve phoned the police. On the first night a group of noisy people congregated outside the bedroom window at about 4am and were there for over an hour, as if it was the middle of the day. (continued in next answer)
The window next to where the bed is situated is single glazed and the frame doesn’t close properly so doesn’t seal. There was a very loud TV that was switched on after we’d gone to bed and sounded as if was just through the wall from where we were trying to sleep. This was on for several hours, accompanied by loud talking and general noise. On our last night there the noises started at 11pm, with loud TV, very loud people and a scooter making many trips backwards and forwards. All of this lasted till about 3:30am. Then at 4:15am a lorry came along the street, and at 5am people were talking loudly in the street again. The hosts were very persistent about having credit card details in advance to “block” £250 against any damages. Unfortunately we weren’t able to do the same, otherwise we’d be asking for compensation from them!
