Excellent staff. Good food. Beautiful Gardens.

To be improved

Booked and had confirmation of a room with a walk in shower. But when we arrived said room was not available. Had to wait till the following day for the requested room. This meant we couldn't unpack and relax after a long day travelling. Not enough seating in the bar area. Especially when bad weather meant seating outside not possible. Went to bed early due to not being able to find anywhere to sit. Some of the entertainment left a bit to be desired.

The best

Everything the hotel has super gardens and car parking. We have already booked for next year.

To be improved

Only comment was Restuarant who have reduced the choice of evening soups from two to one so we missed out twice. Shame but hope the amend. Everything about the hotel is very suitable fir our needs and will continue to stay as in previous years.

“Lovely hotel with exceptional staff and beautiful gardens”
The best

The staff were all exceptional, very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The gardens are a beautiful relaxing place to be. Food was very good, good choices and was reasonably hot compared to other hotel buffets we have had. The room was very comfortable, and the shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. We had green parrots visit us on the balcony which were a lovely sight. The shuttle bus was very welcome to bring us back from the town as it is all up hill.

To be improved

Our room was 406, which at first we thought was great,we arrived on a Friday and the weekend was lovely, the room was on the corner of the hotel and we could see mount tiede one side and the sea the other way. However on Monday we got new neighbours in the room next door who smoked alot, we could no longer sit on the balcony when they were out there due to the smell. Also the room was above the main goods in/out area of the hotel. On weekdays arrivals and collections happened at all times of day and night often waking us at 4am. I would stay here again as the hotel is great but I would choose a room with the garden view as it would be much quieter there.
