“Good”
The location of the villa on the grounds of Salobre golf resort is really nice. It is a beautiful resort but it’s still under construction. Right across our villa there was a construction site - very loud! We were lucky it was Easter week and they paused, otherwise we would spend not 3, but all of our 7 days listening to the noise and watching the dust clouds. The villa is pretty spacious and the pool is nice, the kitchen had all the amenities. The lady who greeted us and explained everything (Barbara) was also extremely nice and welcoming. Lots of sunbeds, two huge terraces. Also getting fresh bread every morning was really nice :)
The villa is fine but it could be refurbished/modernized. Bathrooms are very inconvenient - you have to climb into the bathtub and the glass walls protecting from water splashes are really inconvenient. Also the shower heads themselves were not easy to handle. For the money one could expect a walk-in modern shower. Also there was animal hair everywhere - the sofa in the living room, the terrace sofa… you don’t see it at the first glance bit then you notice it on your clothes etc… maybe the villa is pet-friendly but I didn’t pay attention in description. I am allergic, so it was not a nice thing. And now the worst no-go: there seem to be lots of cockroaches on the ground of Las Terrazas complex or in the resort in general. These are huge tropical ones and of course I understand that they do just live there outside, a part of the fauna so to speak… these are not smaller in-house ones like in northern countries, but! They DO come into the house! We saw them every day outside and then on the last night we had four of these huge things in the house! It was unpleasant, to say the least. All in all it was a nice vacation but with signing drawbacks.
