Tropical garden, villa with pool near the beach

Villa was poorly kept. Upon arrival all towels left out for us on the beds were wet and there was a smell of damp from them. The bedsheets also smelled damp. I believe there was a very quick turnaround between us and the previous guests and the turnaround was so quick the host didn't dry the towels and bedding properly. As such the villa smelled of damp during our stay there and it brought on my daughter's allergies. In addition to this the villa is marketed as being suitable for up to ten guests, our party had eight guests and we found that we couldn't all shower in the morning. I have attached a photo of the boiler and it was simply too small to provide enough water for more than three or four people to shower. As such we had to stagger our shower times and this was not handy given that some of us had to shower more than once per day as we swam in the sea a lot. The outside area was quite dangerous in that the laminate patio slats were loose at the top of a step, they would wobble and more than one person nearly fell going down the step. The pool was nice but had missing tiles and sharp corners. The doorhandles had bits hanging loose from them and the wall mounted shelves and lamps in the bedrooms were loose or squint. Worst of all was the office area off one of the bedrooms. The ceiling had clearly been damaged by heavy rain, had mould and one area was open to the elements. There was no tumble drier or washing line so we couldn't dry the towels which we had to wash upon arrival to remove the smell of damp. Overall this villa was no doubt nice when it had seen fewer guests but it is sorely in need of TLC. Had I been staying in a hotel I would have asked to be moved to another room as the overall experience was not satisfactory for the money we spent on this place. Do not be deceived by the photographs, they do not represent the current state of the building.

We faced with some misunderstanding during the check in but after all Carlos was really helpful. The problem was resolved. Also there was a problem with hot water, but Carlos also fixed it within a day.
