The floor of the apartment wasn’t clean, the couch was absolutely filthy, the bathroom smelled terrible like sewage or stagnant water, the shower leaking and spraying water everywhere, flooding the apartment which we had to dry with a mop numerous times. It was infested with cockroaches! It is common in hot countries to have cockroaches coming in when is hot, it is an unfortunate occurrence, however, in the apartment there was dozens of baby cockroaches everywhere, which indicates that there is a nest. I spent 14 days of terrible sleep, with cockroaches everywhere. I was so exhausted and honestly didn’t want to be dealing with all of this for my first holiday with my husband after he was battling cancer and illness for 2 years. Cockroaches in the kitchen, bathroom, couch, bed, coming out of appliances. I contacted Tropicalidays with these concerns and nothing was done until 3 days before I left. Someone washed the floor and came to deal with the cockroaches. They were back the same night. It is such a pity because the place has everything to be great as it is in a great building and lovely location, but it is obviously not being cleaned or maintained properly between guests. Some plumbers tape and a different shower head would solve the leak. Bleach or disinfectant in sinks and drains and a few air fresheners would solve the smell. Putting the couch covers in the wash would resolve the problem with the stains and washing floors and surfaces and adding cockroach traps would deal with the other issues. I have since read another review that lists some of the same issues, so they are aware of problems but have done nothing about it. The apartment also has no air conditioning only a small fan left in the bedroom, it gets extremely hot, it is not sufficient for keeping the heat at bay.
