To be improved
My stay at Turbo Club was a peaceful one. I’m not an unreasonable person, and I was aware that it is a 2-star hotel, so I didn’t have unrealistic expectations. The food was okay; I’m not very picky, so for me it was just what I needed. The room was spacious and clean. Nice pool.
However, I did expect to be treated with more respect. The cleaning lady cleaned so thoroughly that she even “cleaned” 150 euros from my wallet.
Story-time:
It’s important to mention that cleaning is done on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
On the first cleaning day, Monday, I went to the beach. I came back, and since it was my first day there, I counted my money. It seemed like there was less. Unfortunately for the lady, I’m a very detail-oriented person who keeps receipts. I calculated my expenses, and I was missing 100 euros from my wallet. I didn’t say anything — I suspected I had been robbed, but I assumed maybe I hadn’t counted them properly before, or maybe I had lost them at the airport.
Not to mention, my boyfriend even wanted to leave her a tip for the next cleaning days — but it’s fine, she managed to “help herself” just fine.
Tuesday went by, nothing went missing.
On Wednesday, the second cleaning day, I was still at the hotel when the cleaning started. She decided to clean my room among the first — I guess she liked its “value” — so I was still inside when she came. She had been in the room for about two minutes, according to her, when I arrived and asked her to let me change in the bedroom.
I had counted my money that very morning. When I came out of the bedroom, I obviously wanted to hide the money this time, so I picked up the wallet, counted it — and surprise… 50 euros were gone. WITH ME IN THE ROOM, the lady decided to help herself to my wallet.
Of course, I reported it to the reception. My boyfriend spoke to her, and she even offered to let him search her shorts for the money.
At the reception, I waited for an inspection of the lady.
