Valencia Frente al mar

We visited this apartment mid-April, the apartment was cold and draughty, there is no heating. The wind howls through the doors/windows when they are closed. The owner provided one thinly quilted polyester bed topper per bed. We understood we were visiting off-season and the lack of heating, however, when we requested some additional blankets as the weather was windy/cold, especially at night, we were told the apt is designed for summer let and the owner would try to provide some blankets, none were provided. This meant we were uncomfortable and slept poorly for the week, having to wear coats etc in bed. It's a shame as this small effort would have meant a lot. The electrics in the apt need to be reviewed, the power went out 4 times during the week, whenever the washing machine or cooker were used. The worrying thing was that the power went out without the trip switch tripping. The fix was to turn all fuses off and on again, however, this fix didn't work on our final morning leaving us without power. The furniture needs to be upgraded in the living area, especially the table as the legs are splaying and it will collapse at some point. The shower fittings need to be looked at, the only way to shower without soaking the room is to hold the shower head. A deposit was requested outside of booking.com after the cancellation date on booking had passed. While I understand the request for deposit, it would be fair to your guests to tell them this at time of booking so they have the option to stay or cancel the booking. In our case given the issues we had on arrival no deposit was collected from us.
