“Good morning I am writing this review to help all travelers who stayed overnight at Valentina to prevent what happened to me and my family on the second day. As said on the second day we return from the sea at 18.00 but the door of the room does not open even using the second spare magnetic card so we are forced to call the number given by the guy who checked us in which would be the one indicated both on the front door and the one you find on Booking. After two hours nothing, no answer we are forced to call the police having my blood pressure pills inside but the police washed their hands saying that they could not do anything anyway we were still outside the door at 21.00 after which we realized that it was useless to call the number indicated. So me, my wife and my daughter booked the room in another hotel paying €60.00 without taking the medicine without a replacement. The next day I have 1000 excuses to the right guy a small ramanzina I expected a dismissal, I was reimbursed for the night 60€. Moral this is one of those experiences to say it went well it could have become a tragedy and better to forget and hope that it never happens again. “Good $value for a really poorly managed place!”

The location is a 10 min walk from the airport bus drop off at Santa Catalina. The beach is 5 minutes away. The hotel staff was kind enough to offer us a late 1pm checkout & free luggage storage until 3pm but she said not after 3pm since she was going home and the building would be unattended!

We were told the room would be ready at 3pm but when we entered the room at 4pm it was still dirty and a complete mess. We asked for another room and they said we had no choice but to go for another 1 hour walk! The room had no tissue paper after we finally entered the “readied” room! The check in area had a tour adventure sign that said: “Inquire with reception!” But upon inquiry she said she was clueless about the sign! The living room sofa bed was like a torture stretch rack! If u want a low shoestring budget price then it is an acceptable option. Try to find a hotel in MasPalomas and avoid this whole area of Las Palmas! The whole neighborhood is a shambles!

“Comfortable, convenient and good value for money”

Clear instructions in advance, sent through whatsap, so very easy to follow and to get into the appartment. We stayed in Valentina appartments last year, and we were happy to come back for a longer stay this year. It is good value for money. The appartment doesn't have a view, but the little balcony is fine, and for us the fact that the bedroom doesn't have an outside window wasn't a problem (it has a long thin window up on the wall that would open into the living area, and it lets some light in).

To be improved

We had problems with the electrics, a couple of times. The hosts took a bit of time to reply to messages on the first occasion, which was annoying as we had no electricity. But once they responded, they were very helpful. The secont time it happened they moved us to another apartment which was an upgrade. The sofa in the original study appartment is not comfortable, I would say that is the one thing we didn't like. But in the upgraded apartment there was a comfortable sofa which was very welcome. It was a bit noisy from the apartment next door on a couple of nights.

It’s a shame the hot tub turns off at 9pm Didn’t have access to the wifi on the first day/night Beds wasn’t very comfortable
