Great location, very quite, 1 km walking from faro, 1 km from shops and reaturants, short driving distance to beaches of Playa Blanca.

Instructions on how to find the house should be more detailed, we had some hard time to find it s it was already dark when we came…

“Mixed bag really. The villa is of its time - marble floors, heavy wood.”

The best

Location-wise the villa is about 2.5kms away from the port in Playa Blanca so you may want to hire a car to get into town, although there are several supermarkets and restaurants a short walk away. The villa is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped and can easily accommodate 6 people. The pool is not heated so good for cooling off but you can’t stay in it long. No aircon. The villa is south-facing so sunshine from dawn to dusk, which coming from the UK was bliss!

Initial communication was poor. I had to contact Booking.com customer services to finally get access information. The villa is on a large estate and, while there is the ability to provide directions in the Booking.com system, this had not been done and so my taxi drove around for 20 minutes in the dark trying to find the villa – the estate has a very peculiar numbering system. To cap it all, the contact person who met me had no English and I had no Spanish so the handover was complicated, to say the least! The wifi (and TV) was down from day one. I advised the owner (who had good English) but nothing was done about it - “we are calling the operator” - the owner never checked to see what was happening or if it had been fixed. It wasn’t. Good 4G but my data usage bill for the week was astronomical. The villa is opposite an apartment complex so there was a lot of van and lorry traffic during the day. At the end of the garden there is a waste disposal facility which may explain why there were so many flies around the pool. But it is very quiet at night.

“Excellent house. Casa excelente”

The house is excellent with everything, super spectacular views of the ocean, mountain Roja and the Fuerteventura island! We highly recommend it. Also Carolina assistance is very valuable as she is very attentive.... ¡La casa es excelente con todo, vistas súper espectaculares del océano, la montaña Roja y la isla de Fuerteventura! Lo recomendamos encarecidamente. También la asistencia de Carolina es muy valiosa ya que es muy atenta.
