“Lovely villa, but a few grumbles”
The best

The villa itself was amazing - very spacious for 8 of us with lots of indoor & outdoor space & a great pool. Alcanada is a lovely residential area, nice & peaceful. Joan was a good host, dealt promptly with a couple of minor issues. But he was half an hour late to meet us on the last day so we had to leave before he arrived to catch our flight.

To be improved

Although the area of Alcanada is lovely, it was quite a long way out & a bit too far to walk to Alcudia Port or the old town. All of us were bitten to death by mozzies. I reckon I was bitten at least 5 times a day/night. In addition to €5.8k per week, we had to pay a further €112 for tourist tax & €124 for electricity. I have never before stayed anywhere that you have to pay extra for electricity.

“Fab villa and host, will return”
The best

Beautiful villa with new fixtures and fittings almost throughout. Great aircon throughout which was much needed this summer in the heat. Host on hand at all times by text to answer any questions at all, perfect stay for our family of 10

To be improved

Some damp in the basement rooms, hopefully this will be addressed. Quite a lot of ants around, needed to purchase many traps to keep them at bay.
