Villa Aruba

On arrival windows were dirty, they looked to have been cleaned but with a dirty cloth. There was a note stating a welcome gift was left.....but no welcome gift was there. I read this on someone else's review too, so it seems a habit. We asked for a late check before we arrived and noticed it was changed for 2pm on our booking confirmation, as we have a child with special needs and had a late flight on departure. However, we were told to contact them 2 days prior to departure, which we did......told they would check to see if this was possible. We were only told it wasn't possible at 9.45am on the day of departure, and we were expected to leave by 10 am. This was due to scheduled maintenance, we hung around at friends villa and they never went near our villa.....we left at 1.45pm. Little things like this just make a holiday. Pool steps were not secure and moved when climbed. The maids came once in 2 weeks and did the bare minimum.....we had to ask for the kitchen floor to be mopped. I don't expect a full pristine clean, but floors brushed and mopped should be the bare minimum, not just bedding changed and a quick wipe of the bathroom sinks. They took the pool towels too and never replaced them. Pool guy came 3 times in the 2weeks and did a great job.

That we had to leave!

No welcome pack...not even a bottle of water. We arrived after 10 at night and couldn't have a drink till the morning. No pillow cases on one of the beds, even though the cleaner had put scatter cushions on top of them so knew they had no covers. Took 2 days for them to bring them. No spare linen in the villa. No tea towels either. Patio area and outside table hadn't been mopped or wiped so dirty on arrival. We had previously asked for a late check out and didn't get confirmation after repeat emails, until after pillowcases were brought. Too far from bars, restaurants so car hire needed. Not enough cutlery for cooking and eating for 5 people. Need to wash some before serving. 5 not 6 table knives etc. Drive for parking requires shunting to enter and exit as road is very narrow with walls.
