Villa ATENEA

Parking difficult (it was fiesta weekend) and satnav address wasn't precise so we took some time to find the right building.

Where do we start? Firstly, you won't get the accommodation you paid for or the ones in the photos. You'll be forced into the downstairs room with a shower that completely floods your floor, getting all of your belongings soaking wet and causing electrical plugs and cables under the tv to be floating in water, causing electrocution or fire hazards. Anytime you need to use the bathroom or anywhere in the room but the bed you'll be walking through water. The owners will then rudely demand in spanish that you travel 35km on their say so to meet them and give them the keys when new guests arrive as they don't have spares. Want to go onto your "balcony"? Forget it, the door hinge is broken so if you try to open it, it will just nearly fall right back and hit you and not open. Wallpaper is hanging off everywhere. Door-fames hanging off exposing nails. Skirting missing. You will need to be physically fit to walk up the 3 hills that the property is located on top of, as the street excalators are never working. There's literally a street lift that smells like urine to get half way up the hill if you need to. After you complain about all of the above, you will be told that you "are just a typical english tourist that wants a free holiday" by the disgustingly rude owners. All images/videos will be attatched to this review. Booking.com won't help you either as the con artist owners will take no responsibility. There are many, many, many other nearby places to stay that are 10x better than this hell hole and we will now be forced to take matters higher. Don't put yourselves through this.

Lack of facilities and dirty toilet bow

The host was awful! I could not find the place and called her to ask for directions and she said “No English” and hung up on me. I called again and she again said “No English and WhatsApp.” When we did find the place the shower and sink were clogged, there were exposed wires making the place an electrical safety hazard, and it was dirty. I called the host and messaged her in Spanish to explain the problem and she said she would send someone over to fix the problem and nobody showed up. We finally left at 9pm frustrated and got another hotel. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

WiFi didn’t work at all at times. I tried to ask to fix it, but I didn’t got any reply. Power (light, heating) went off many times.
