It would be very helpful to have a welcome folder with information about nearest shops, restaurants, taxi service and medical numbers. The host didn’t stay very long to explain. We had to work this out ourselves which was time consuming. There is no shade in the garden, could do with umbrellas or some other shaded space. Some tiles around the decking were broken. Hot water in the shower was hit and miss in both showers. There was only really a surface clean, and it was dusty in some places. Pick up finger nails in one room. One of the bedrooms was in need of repair near the bed. Some of the furniture has aged and the video that is sent before by host is misleading. We were asked for 300 euro deposit on arrival which is not mentioned during booking. This villa is on the airport fly path so you will have a steady flow of planes going overhead every 20 minutes. You kinda get used to that but if young family it may be an issue. Press in the kitchen was broken.

Paid in advance for pool heating, the electric heated pool being the main reason we selected this villa, but were informed 12 hours before the stay the heater was broken. Advised it should be fixed part way through the stay, it wasn't. The gate to the property had a broken door that could not be locked from the outside, so had to be left open every time we left the villa. Also advised this would be fixed in a few days, but it wasn't. A number of rooms had experienced damp/structural damage and we not repaired properly (kitchen and a bedroom). The bedroom appeared to have visible mould spores and damp damage, meaning we could not use that room at all. The decking around the pool was damaged, with lots of broken tiles, and the furniture outside not in a good state. There was an overpowering smell of drainage from all of the bathrooms, which only subsided with the windows open. Not great in the winter months So basically a choice between the smell of drains, or cold air and bugs coming in. The pictures on the listing are clearly taken some years ago and some repair and updating is needed, as overall the villa is tired and in bad need of basic maintenance. We stayed here with our disabled daughter and would have moved immediately if it would not have caused her more upset to change location. Disappointing and the photos are not reflective of the villa's current state. Whilst providing some provisions for guests is a nice touch, the owners need to spend money on making every room habitable and in a good state of repair.
