To be improved
We have just returned from a week at this accommodation and we experienced some major challenges with the property.
1. The MAJOR issue is that the owners and their children live ON SITE. Not nearby, not in a separate part of the property, IN THE VILLA WITH YOU. You can hear them walking up and down the stairs, you see their children wandering around, they sit out at the pool on the outdoor furniture and work on their laptops, it is like living in the villa with another family that we do not know. One evening the owner walked around the pool in his pants!!! It is NOT exclusive hire of the property.
2. The owner photographed our children in the pool. It made us very uncomfortable. The second time it happened my husband asked him to stop. Instead of apologising he just said ‘ok’ and he walked off.
3. The villa is covered with cameras, both inside and out, we were not clear what was being recorded or how it was being stored.
4. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol or drinks. You have to use what they provide. They have stocked the fridge so full of their beers, soft drinks, wine and cava there Is no room for your own and you have to pay their fees. A can of coke was 2.50 Euros and a bottle of wine 25 Euros, a stark contrast to the cost of wine at the super market!
5. The kitchen is so poorly stocked you are unable to cater there. There are no chopping boards, 3 mugs, 6 plates and bowls (for 16 people!), no bread knife, no cheese grater, no drainer, 1 tea towel, no oven, a microwave that does not work, no toaster.
6. There were many things missing that are advertised as available: dishwasher was broken, there are no laundry facilities, there are no playstations, no ironing facilities, no bath, no oven, broken microwave. 3 bedrooms didn’t have A/C.
7. There are flies EVERYWHERE, all day, whether you are near food or not. At breakfast they do not cover the food so you are obliged to help yourself to food that has been covered with flies!
