The owner was very helpful when assistance was needed, contributing positively to the experience.
No specific comments on food and beverage; assumed standard quality for this hotel tier.
The overall experience had potential but was marred by significant maintenance and cleanliness issues.
The property is in a beautiful area but has difficult access and is far from amenities.
For the price paid, the experience didn't meet expectations primarily due to maintenance issues.
Rooms had character but issues like low water pressure and not having a cohesive layout for families.
“Beautiful family stay with exceptional views and private pool.”
Location - up in the hills of Amparo and yet, not more than 45 minutes from the main cities, the views, the infinity pool, cleanliness of the property.
The flush in the main WC didn't work. Didn't bother us to be fair as there were 3 other WCs we were able to use. No curtains in the rooms meant that we were up by 7, no complaints again as the views were exceptional to wake up to but still, curtains won't hurt!
“Charming renovated villa away from the crowds”
Beautiful, historic, well renovated, secluded villa nestled in stunning lush Tenerife countryside. Lovely high ceilings and a simple, rustic, charming feeling throughout. Necessary mod-cons were all present like big smart tv, washer, dryer, microwave, dishwasher etc. There’s also a cute guest cottage with an en suite upstairs which would be perfect for different couples staying and similar downstairs (although we were just 1 small family so didn’t use either). There is a fabulous heated hot bath outside surrounded by lemon trees for privacy, which we made good use of - elemental and wonderful. Oliver and Jess were very helpful, responsive and friendly hosts who did all they could to make us feel comfortable and at home.
The drive up into the property is for experienced drivers only, very narrow country lane, steep turns etc. The pool is beautiful but not heated so we couldn’t use it as the May weather we experienced unfortunately wasn’t great. In the summer it would warm up naturally in the day from the sun and I’m sure it’s fabulous then.
“Superb”
Exceptional Villa, very nice pool, heated bathtub in the garden.
The pool could be heated (a little cool, probaply during spring time - Summer might be fine)
“Fabulous rustic villa”
The setting is amazing, with plenty of terraces and outdoor areas, pools and a well equipped kitchen with a laundry room and spacious lounges. All cleaning products provided including dishwasher tablets and laundry products, plus spices and oil. . Netflix available.. Good location to visit Masca and La Oratova , plenty to see and do in Icod de los Vinos. The hosts were helpful and good communicators.
Access in a large car is tricky, but possible to walk along from the road. As with most properties, it is best to arrive before dark. A car is necessary to explore town and area, but there's plenty to see and do.
