Villa Carabeo San Salvador Nerja

The shower wasn’t properly sealed off and there was always excess water on the floor after it was used.

We thought we had booked San Salvador which has a very high rating and indeed that is what was on our booking. However, be aware, the property is divided into 3 apartments - San Salvador, San Jose and Sai Gayatri’s. The photos show a selection of all three apartments and it is not until you arrive and are given the keys that you find out which one of the one bed apartments you are staying in. We were put in San Jose and were massively disappointed. The shower room is just too small with a tiny, oddly shaped shower cubicle and a small, awkward, blue basin with nowhere to hang/dry your towels effectively apart from outside which is no good when it rains and birds poo on them! The bedroom only had one bedside table and I ended up using my case to put my watch on - no dressing table for make up etc. The small kitchen/diner/lounge is dominated by an excess of very nice kitchen cabinets and an unnecessary American fridge/freezer but no dishwasher as per the description on Booking.com. This cramped room had an oversized sofa, bookshelves but no coffee table. There is a useful outside washing but the occupants of the other ground floor apartment commandeered it. The outside space is shared and we felt it necessary to keep the curtains drawn to maintain any privacy. We didn’t use the pool as it always had a cleaning machine in it presumably to clean it from the overhanging trees and the hot tub appeared to be out of use. Finally, we weren’t expecting to share the grounds with a dog when we checked that pets weren’t allowed. We were truly disappointed and felt we overpaid for mediocre facilities.
