“Wonderful relaxing stay in a beautiful period home”
The best

Beautiful historic family home with lots of space and charming features. It was a wonderful home for the week for my husband, myself and our two teenage daughters. Plenty of bathrooms! Super quiet and a gorgeous outdoor terrace and garden to enjoy. Centrally located in the old port of Getxo. Our hosts were so welcoming and shared lots of tips about visiting the local area and eating out.

Our hosts were amazing, they had a cake waiting for us at our arrival and were available for us whenever we needed help with a question or booking a taxi. We were a family with kids so the space was ideal since they had room to play and explore. Everything was amazing!

“Close to everything, incl surf beaches, cafes, Bilbao and the wonderful Basque food.”
The best

We were within 5 mins to a lift to 1 beach, and 7-8mins to another beach. Shops, cafes, supermarkets were 5-8 mins walk. The train was 8 mins walk.The house was on ground level, 4 beds, 3 bathrooms with an outdoor terrace for eating and reading. The host, Inigo, provided body boards, an umbrella, flippers for surfing; as well as wine, eggs and heaps of information on things to do in the area. Getxo is a holiday place with about 10 different beaches nearby; all within about 30mins in a car. The best was Gorliz, with body waves easy to catch. Villa Colonial Jardin is a really wonderful place to stay.
