The location of this house is fantastic. The view over the Atlantic is amazing, and Teide is also visible too. The house is located down a windy, steep road, so you need a car for access. There's a hiking path which goes right beside the house, all the way down to the sea - about 30 minutes to get down to the bottom. The area of El Sauzal and La Matanza is served by a public bus service, but having a rental car makes getting around a thousand times more convenient. Supermarkets are within a short drive. There's a large Hiperdino in Tacoronte, which was about 10 minutes away. The town of El Sauzal has many restaurants etc. The Casa del Vino (museum, wine tasting) is just minutes away. The house itself is beautiful. There are multiple - maybe half a dozen or more ? - different hang-out/dining/lounging areas outside, and the views are gorgeous. Grill and firepit are available. The heated pool is small, but spacious enough for 5 of us to take a dip and have some fun. The house was immaculate and well maintained. Kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped and heating/AC are easy to adjust. Maybe this house's best asset is the host, Manolo! He was incredibly helpful in providing information and suggestions for our stay on Tenerife. A few days before we arrived, he messaged me with a whole list of recommendations and ideas. He was accommodating around our arrival and departure times, was very responsive, and was just generally a great resource. We appreciated the local wine and treats he had waiting for us on arrival.

To be improved

If your aim is to be beachside, this is not the property for you. This is a residential area, but it feels very private. The location and views are spectacular, and it's within 3 minutes of the motorway (TF5), so access to the rest of the island is easy. We loved the location! But if you are looking to be in the center of beach and nightlife action, choose a different property.

“The perfect villa for bigger families with a great host”

The best

The Villa is just as beautiful as described, or even more. We loved our stay at Manolo´s place, he is such a great host, it was one of our best stays ever, the house is a real home away from home. He makes sure everything is fine. The view is insane and the house is well equiped and the pool is big and has a very good temparature even for a swim in February. We would definitly come back and recommend to stay everyone, it has the most beautiful sourroundings on the whole island and is a perfect base also for a longer stay.

The villa was stunning, with beautiful views. It was my birthday, a big special one & the owner was so kind & got us everything we needed & even got me a birthday gift. It was the perfect day, the perfect stay in a stunning location. Everyone had a good time. We would recommend it to anyone. A massive thank you for making my birthday so special. It was a lovely relaxing long weekend.
