“Very expensive, small and with what looks like a spy camera on the wall.”
The place was clean. It was well-equipped. The location was reasonable.
Were it not for one issue, this review would be 5/10. That issue is the camera, tucked away out of most people's field of view, but with a complete view of the apartment. More about that later. This "villa" is very small. It's a small part of an existing villa that's been split off and self-contained. It can officially accommodate 6 people (double room, 2 single beds in the other bedroom and then a sofa bed in the kitchen diner), but any more than 2 people and you're on top of each other. It's too small. The internet connection is really poor, but what's worse is the fact it's shared with next door, you know, the place that controls that discretely placed camera in the kitchen diner. The place, as previous reviews reiterate, is pretty well-equipped, but some of the equipment is cheap. The ironing board and cover are a case in point. The kettle is another; as soon as you switch it on the main fuse trips. We ended up buying a replacement kettle, which we left there. The bedroom with 2 single beds is very small and has no natural light at all. It's dark and stuffy, even with the Aircon and fan working. The main bedroom isn't much bigger, but does have a small window onto the road outside. There is a small shower room/WC. The hot water capacity is sufficient for one shower only, which is inconvenient. There is a small sun terrace with a partial view of the sea. It is immediately adjacent to the main villa's garden and overlooked by their terrace. On the other side of the apartment (I can't call it a villa) there are other holiday lets. For the most part they weren't a problem, but one party did make quite a bit of noise during the evenings. Parking is problematic. The roads are constantly parked up. Parking on the twisting, narrow road to the left of the villa would take some doing.
