Villa Estándar 2 - Casangular by Upper

Our stay at Villa Saúco was one of the worst holiday experiences we have ever had. While the villa itself is modern, spacious and very clean, the kitchen could be better appointed in respect of cooking utensils - for example scissors, knives for food preparation, trays for the oven, coffee mugs and utensils for using with the barbecue. Upon arrival, we noticed the garden umbrella was broken, so we reported it immediately. We thought it would be a quick fix, but it remained broken throughout our entire stay. The lack of attention to such a simple maintenance issue was frustrating, but it paled in comparison to the nightmare we faced due to the villa’s location. Villa Saúco is situated right next to a huge construction site. Apart from Saturday, every other day of our holiday we were greeted by the relentless hammering of heavy machinery that started promptly at 9 AM and didn’t let up until around 5 PM. The noise was unbearable—so loud, in fact, that sitting outside and enjoying the pool became impossible. You couldn't even have a conversation without shouting over the din. To preserve our sanity and hearing, we resorted to leaving the villa during the day just to escape the noise and vibrations. It is clear that the construction site is only in its early stages, which means that these disruptive works could go on for a considerable period of I documented the proximity of the construction site and the noise levels in a video to illustrate just how disruptive it was. When we raised our concerns with the villa management, they dismissed us, claiming that they had never received any previous complaints. I find this incredibly hard to believe! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in Tenerife, I would avoid Villa Saúco at all costs! In summary, while the villa has the potential to be a pleasant place to stay, the noise from the construction site far outweighs any positives.
