“On top of the world”

Breathtaking views of the ocean and hillsides high in the mountains. What a luxury to have this beautiful property all to ourselves! We made use of the largest terrace which faced the morning sun to enjoy our coffee. Sometimes the mountain mist and clouds where low enough to obscure any views but when the sun did shine it was warm and wonderful. We stayed in winter and were grateful for the heaters in each room to take off the chill in the evenings. There were so many great places, inside and out, to curl up with a book and relax, our favorite was the dining room/conservatory where we could open all the drapes to the wall of windows and feel like we were outside. The kitchen was excellent and provided everything we needed as we didn't leave the property for the 4 days of our stay. We even gathered kindling to use the outdoor grill one day. The washer and tumble dryer which were much appreciated as we had been traveling for a few weeks. The pool with its cover kept the temperature nice and warm, unlike some of the hotel pools and certainly the beaches.

To be improved

We weren't prepared for the roads it takes to get to the property. Along with the road work that narrows an already winding, steep road, the driveway was so intimidating and rustic that I even contacted the manager to confirm we were to actually drive up it.
