“All in all a great stay for us”

Great pool Great location, close to grocerystores and 15 min walking to the beach Great outdoor area Alot of space

To be improved

The house is in need of some renovations here and there Great with two kitchens, but they are on different floors alot of moving dishes around since the dishwssher was upstairs Missing some kitchen utensils or there where scarce

“Loved this villa with easy access by foot to everything Calpe has to offer”

The villa is huge and we loved the small pool, the roof terrace, the two lounges with a walkthrough sunroom and access to the two double rooms. We were a party of eight and the villa could easily accommodate 12 people comfortably All the rooms were air conditioned so we slept comfortably. The outdoor terrace was perfect for all of us to enjoy meals together and the roof terrace was perfect for sunbathing all day long and watching the sun rise and set Location is great with easy access to supermarkets and everything Calpe has to offer from the beaches to the old town. You must visit La Vina de Calpe for a meal - just a short walk past Aldi

To be improved

The kitchen downstairs didn’t have a dishwasher so we had to carry everything up and down the outside staircase. The fridge downstairs was too small so again we ended up carrying lots of food up and down stairs. The bathrooms upstairs only had baths with showers over. It would have been nicer to have a walk-in shower upstairs. Decor is dated and the property could do with a refurbishment and modernisation. The outside kitchen needs a gas bbq - we didn’t use the wood that was provided for the more traditional BBQ as it was too much of a hassle. Both the electric gates were broken and had to be opened manually. Too much crockery and cutlery in general but not enough spoons or large glasses to drink from

“Spacious, clean, great location.”

The best

Great location with amazing views. The facilities are excellent with plenty of space for our group of 8, (the villa sleeps 12) The villa has 2 kitchens which are very well equipped for big groups.it also has an outdoor dining area that is very well set up. The swimming pool was big enough for 5 people to play around in & there's plenty of sunbeds, chairs & shade. There are 2 double & 4 twin rooms with comfortable clean beds, all the bathrooms have almost instant hot water in the showers. The washing machine & outdoor drying areas are a great benefit, as there were only 1 set of towels provided each. Inside the house is dim & cool, a nice chill area for the hot days! It's about a 20 min walk to the sea front, 30 min from the old town, you can see the salt flats & flamingos from the villa with views of the famous rock. There's a pathway through the salt flats, to get better views of the wildlife in the daytime. There's car parking to the front of the villa & a pedestrian gate by the pool for a little short cut to the main road. Lidl, Aldi & Mercadona are all about 7-10 min walk away, at each end of the road, bring a shopping bag with wheels from home if you have one! Community bins & recycling are at each end of the road too, bring a bag of rubbish when you're going out, it'll make sure you don't have 10 bags to dispose of on your last day. It was a very enjoyable stay, everything we needed was at the villa & the resort is compact & clean with lots of restaurants & bars.

To be improved

The villa could do with an extra dishwasher on the lower floor for safety & convenience. Some of the beds need new pillows! But I've no genuine negative response to this!

“Very enjoyable stay in a lovely villa, but wouldn't have booked if we knew the road was so busy.”

The best

The size of the villa meant that we all had our own space and we weren't on top of each other. Having 2 kitchens to use gave us 2 fridges and more crockery etc. There is plenty of inside space to sit together, although we all stayed outside morning, noon and night. There was more than enough room outside to all sit together for meals and a drink with lots of lighting etc for nighttime. The villa is on a main road in the middle of 2 supermarkets which are only a short walk. The pool was lovely and was used by everyobody, young and old. There is a small gate at the back of the pool giving access directly to the road which was good for us as the main gate was up on the top level so saved my parents walking up and down steps every time we went in and out.

To be improved

When staying at other properties we have had an information folder with everything from instructions to use the electric gates to takeaway menus and taxi numbers. We could not find anything like this at the villa and this would have been useful when trying to organise taxis etc. I did call the Plusholidays office asking if they could assist in booking a taxi for us on the day of departure as we were struggling with the number we had, but they would ot help, which was disappointing considering the amount we had paid to book the villa. The taxi company themselves were very hit and miss, sometimes we got a car, sometimes we had to walk because they just repeatedly put the phone down on us. Again at other properties, we have had small pull along trollies for shopping, but could find nothing like this. It would have been handy for carrying the heavy bottles of water, and beer of course! The villa is on a main road which is busy and quite noisy. It didn't affect us much at night, but there was constant traffic noise whilst sitting by the pool or outside during the day. A later check out than 10am would have been better, but as we were given our keys before the official 5pm time, we understood that we couldn't have it both ways. Having to take your own rubbish to the public bins is accepted, but the bins were virtually as far as the supermarkets and it isn't very nice having to walk down a busy road with bags of rubbish in the scortching heat. Bearing in mind the villa is for 12 people, there were multiple trips to be made, so a bin closer to the property would be much better.
