Villa Gotmar by Sealand Villas

Rooms got very cold in the evening and night (it was end of April, not that cold outside). Heating supposedly turned on automatically but it didn’t feel like it. Single beds in all rooms except for one, and headboards not fixed to beds to you keep shuffling around. We arrived to find a 90page ‘induction’ document which was.. an overkill to say the least - felt very commercial and unnecessary. Interior is quite dated and property didn’t really feel like a place we wanted to spend too much time inside. Worked for our cycling trip as we spent most time outside.

There could have been more instructions on how to use e.g., the hob, oven and washing machine. The rooms smelt a wee bit damp and musty. They could have been aired before our arrival.

outdoor seating for dining, sitting and chatting etc, is a bit uncomfortable. there’s a really noisy water pressurising unit outside, next to the main poolside seating area. it makes a very loud noise anytime someone runs the water, has a shower etc. the noise is brief, but loud and annoying. the built in outdoor BBQ was fine, but took some getting used to.
