Very convenient — about 10 minutes' walk to the centre and very peaceful; however there is a steep climb up to town which may be an issue for guests with limited mobility.
Generally positive: a cozy Spanish house with a pleasant style and great base for hiking; minor drawbacks (cold interior, worn kitchen items) temper the experience slightly.
Mixed: pleasant garden with a nice pool and terraces (positive), but kitchenware (pots, cutlery, toaster, porcelain) and some electrical fittings need replacement/updates.

“We had a really wonderful holiday - thank-you”
The grounds of the villa, the outside seating areas and the pool were fabulous. Just a short (but steep) walk into Frigiliana. The owner, Jose came every couple of days for pool maintenance and to empty the outside bins. He was very friendly and quick to respond to queries.
It is a very traditional villa which is lovely. It really needs Air Con in the bedrooms as sleeping was not possible anywhere except downstairs. A couple of updates here and there like new sunbeds and tiling the downstairs shower floor would make a big difference.
“Pricey accommodation without any comfort, in old donkey hut.”
Nice view, close to Frigillana, swimming pool, avocado garden, Jose Manuel - the host.
This is an old donkey barn converted into a guest house. Do not expect any comfort, everything is basic there. Do noy turn all the lights and the oven on at the same time as fuses will go out. Beds are old and uncomfortable. Pool beds are from last century. In standing Spanish tradition, nothing is ever upgraded....only fixed if it is broken.
“Rustic, pretty villa in lovely gardens with pool in walking distance to main village”
Good location with the town and all attractions within a fairly easy walk; perched on a hillside, there's a lot of walking up and down! Great pool and quiet. relaxed garden setting. Very pretty
The big feature that let this villa down was the lack of air-con upstairs in the bedrooms; air con only in the living room. Temps were high 30s on our visit and we were just melting upstairs so had to decamp to living room on an evening which wasn't the most comfortable sleep!
