Villa Julia La Herradura Marina del Este

Villa Julia is an excellent vacation spot, spacious and well-maintained with all the necessary amenities. The pool is warm and inviting, carefully tended daily by a gardener. The stunning view overlooks Marina del Este and a charming small sandy beach. Do note, however, the path down to the beach is very steep. The villa grounds are beautifully maintained. A car is essential for exploring nearby towns such as Herradura, Nerja, and Almuñécar. Be prepared for narrow roads and tight parking, requiring either skilled driving or a smaller vehicle. The facilities are very convenient, featuring three dishwashers, two standard refrigerators, two beverage fridges, and two ice makers—including one located conveniently at the pool level, just one level below. The villa’s quiet setting away from busier neighborhoods makes it perfect for relaxation. Housekeeping services are provided every three days, adding comfort and convenience. Some rooms are slightly small with basic furnishings, and there were occasional ants noted in certain areas, but these minor issues did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment. We had a fabulous vacation, greatly enhanced by daily sunshine. Many thanks to our gracious host!

This villa is extraordinary with its amazing view overlooking the marina.Once here you will not want to leave! It is clean, modern and spacious and very well equipped with ensuite bathrooms and showers in four of the five bedrooms and parking for three cars within locked gates. Even pool/beach towels were provided, as was cleaning and pool maintenance during the week. The garden is well kept and the functional outdoor living room and dining area with fully equipped outdoor kitchen (BBQ, fridge, dish washer) is a relaxing and welcoming area to spend time together. We were three generations travelling together and the house was perfect for this. The pool with infinity view is heated (even quite warm) and there is both a shower and toilet in the pool house, as well as a pool bar. From the bottom of the garden a pathway goes down to a small, but pretty, beach, and to the marina. It is also possible to walk along the coast in both directions (but be prepared for steep downhill and uphill slopes).
