It was a traditional Spanish villa and was like staying in a home. It had a washing machine which is brilliant when your away. The views from the villa are beautiful with Mountain View’s and sea views. It’s very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Property is in a quiet location and a pleasant 15 to 20 minute stroll from Rubicon Marina with its interesting array of restaurants and shops and is equally spaced between both local beaches which are 25 minutes walk away. The centre of Playa Blanca is just under an 1 hours walk away with the lighthouse around 2 hours walk away, so if you enjoy walking along promenades there is plenty of scope for you here. The villa is traditional Canarian style with a tiled central courtyard with all room accessed from the courtyard, the villa itself is very well equipped and appointed and everything that you may need is there you just need to find it. For us the garden terrace with its view down to the sea was our favourite place, either for an al fresco breakfast or chilling out with a glass of wine and a book on our return from that days expedition. The pool looked wonderful, but in all of our time there we did not see anyone either sun bathing around it or swimming. I very rarely go back to the same place twice, but I have booked this villa again for next year. (A part of this is the beaches at Papagayo, for which this property is very convenient.) The villa is a very spacious, well designed, well appointed, privately owned holiday home; which is rented out via a hugely friendly, effective and efficient local agent with excellent communication skills, when not being used by the owners. It is also located on a hill with a large south facing patio, literally over-looking other properties to give a spectacular view of the sea and the north coast of Furteventura. Lanzarote is a windy island but the patio is sheltered from the prevailing winds and in the extreme the enclosed courtyard is fully sheltered yet gets plenty of sunshine. Five stars does not really do it justice.

It was a real home. It is the only place we've stayed at that we could live in permanently. The layout of the villa is perfect with the central courtyard and private outside space.
