The location of the house is amazing. If you look for a place to relax, rest, disconnect from busy life, then this is the place to be. Really peaceful and nice! The host was very nice.

The pool was great overall, as was the view.

To be improved

The pool surface was a little abrasive and my kids got quite a few bleeding cuts and scrapes as a result. Some of the fittings and decor were old and not quite in top condition - eg the fridge freezer didn’t close properly which was a constant issue. Also when we arrived I had to fit a new shower head myself in one of the bathrooms, and had to water the trees and garden myself multiple times during our stay. I did not appreciate being told upon arrival that electricity was limited and if we went over a pre-determined limit, we would be charged extra. Of course we refused to pay but it tainted the holiday unfortunately. There are a large number of wasps and hornets around the property which made eating and relaxing outside quite stressful as they were constantly buzzing around us and food & drinks. Lots of ants everywhere too.

“Exceptional”

The best

We had an incredible family holiday at Villa Las Palmeras, everything about it was just perfect for us. The journey to and from the villa is for the more confident driver, but is an adventure in itself, and totally worth it for the end location, which is secluded and peaceful with absolutely stunning views. The villa was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The outside of the villa is superb, it is South-West facing, so benefits from the sun almost all day. We spent most of our days by the pool, and our evenings having barbecues and enjoying the views. Miguel and his wife were brilliant hosts, with excellent communication. Miguel was very quick to respond if we had any questions, and came straight away to replace the gas when we had no hot water. We loved it so much we were already talking about returning before we’d left!

the views are spectacular. Villa is lovely.

To be improved

being so rural comes with some disadvantages. The dirt track leading to the villa is not for the faint hearted & definitely needs a decent car. The water pressure is weak & things don’t always flush without a bucket of water.
