“Home from home.”

The best

Mariano is a very friendly & helpful host who gave of his time (& wine) generously but never intruded. We felt at home from the moment we arrived & appreciated all the extra supplies- tea, coffee, sugar, oils, herbs, pasta etc, plenty loo rolls, tissues etc & a welcome bottle of wine. The house is spacious & well equipped especially the kitchen, tv with international channels, Netflix etc, with a lovely garden, bbq (supplies provided) & small pool & lovely views to the mountains. It is in a gated community so safe & quiet with good roads. Its quick & easy to get to the GC1 & from there around 30 minutes takes you to the North or South coast. Airport is 20 minutes. We stayed for a month in February & had a few cloudy days with occasional showers but plenty of sunshine too. The house has heaters if needed but we rarely used them. Shopping for groceries in Telde is good & we acted upon Marianos recommendation to try HiperDino- good selection of fresh fruit & vegetables & a good meat/deli/fish counter. (Parking in the area on the street is difficult but both Hiperdino & Lidl close by have their own underground parking) Sadly our month came to an end & we did not want to leave but we will definitely return.
